Dish-level ratings for your app or AI assistant. Connect Claude or ChatGPT, or call the REST API. Every request needs an API key and is billed per request.

Use with Claude and ChatGPT

Ask your assistant what to order. Answers use dish-level ratings from real diners, so a great restaurant can’t hide a weak dish.

Claude

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Name it VotedMenu and paste your connector URL (below; it contains your key).
In a chat, turn on VotedMenu from the tools menu and ask away.

Claude Skill

Optional. Teaches Claude to separate dish ratings from place ratings.

ChatGPT

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
Choose Create and paste your connector URL (below).
Start a new chat, add VotedMenu from the + menu, and ask.

What the Assistant Can Look Up

find_best_dishes: Ranks one dish across every restaurant in an area, by per-dish rating.
get_restaurant: Menu with per-dish ratings, must-order and skip lists, plus VotedMenu place ratings.
search_restaurants: Finds places by name, cuisine or dish near a location.
get_dish: Rating distribution, reorder rate and written reviews for one dish.

Connect

Replace YOUR_KEY with a key from above. Calls that fetch data are billed; connecting and listing tools is free.

These apps take only a URL, so the key goes in it. Treat the URL like a password.

GET /api/v1/dishes?dish=shawarma&near=Brooklyn: Rank a dish across restaurants in an area
GET /api/v1/places?query=ramen&near=Shibuya: Search places with VotedMenu ratings
GET /api/v1/places/{place_id}: Menu with per-dish ratings, place ratings, offers
GET /api/v1/dishes/{dish_id}: One dish: rating distribution and reviews

Errors: 401 missing or invalid key, 402 billing inactive, 429 rate limit (60 requests/minute per key) or your monthly cap.
